A note from Peter Frumkin
They say all good things must come to an end. I guess that is true because after seven wonderful years at the University of Texas, I am heading back East to Philadelphia. I have accepted an appointment as professor of social policy at the University of Pennsylvania, where I will direct the Center for High Impact Philanthropy and oversee the Masters in Nonprofit Leadership program. Beyond getting closer to aging family members, it is an exciting opportunity to build new programs and bring coherence to all the interesting things now happening on Penn's campus in the nonprofit area.
As I wrap at UT, I have many people to thank for making my time in Texas so fun and fulfilling. Among those on my list are the RGK Center’s staff, my faculty colleagues, the many students I have taught, all the supporters and donors to the Center, and the nonprofit leaders I have had the privilege of working with through our programs. The LBJ School has begun searching for a new RGK Center director. I expect that a new person will be in place soon and in the interim the Center will continue to carry on its good work as usual.
So thanks again for the memories and good times. Please note my new contact info:
If you ever find yourself in my new neighborhood, please don’t hesitate to look me up.
