Chaz Crompton

Marketing/Communications Specialist


Chaz brings to the RGK Center a depth of experience in community service, public affairs, integrated marketing, branding, PR, web management, business development, social media, and print, radio and TV production.

Most recently, he worked as the director of Marketing and Business Development at the Texas Department of Information Resources (the state’s technology agency) and as an adjunct marketing instructor at the Arts Institute of Austin. Prior to that, he worked at GSD&M Advertising as executive producer, Direct Response TV/AT&T.

Before moving to Austin in 2006, he worked on a variety of TV programs for PBS, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox TV in Los Angeles. He also served as Senior Marketing Relationship Manager for DIRECTV, leading a variety of acquisition, loyalty and retention initiatives for over 16 million customers. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Writers Guild of America.

In the UK, Chaz was one of the youngest ever members of Community Service Volunteers (CSV) running a youth diversion program in Hackney, East London. (CSV is the UK equivalent of AmeriCorps VISTA.)

Chaz has a BS in Psychology (Portland State University) and a Masters in Public Policy and Administration (La Follette School of Public Affairs, UW-Madison). He is excited to have found a position (at the RGK Center) that uncannily dovetails with his constellation of skills, experience and personal attributes.
