RGK Summer Fellow Awarded International Research Grant
Former PhD Summer Fellow Jasmine McGinnis is one of four recipients of a grant from the International Research in Philanthropy Awards. Jasmine will be traveling to Sweden during the Spring to collaborate on research with Filip Wijkström, Director of Economic Research Institute and Stefan Einarsson, PhD Candidate, both at the Stockholm School of Economics.
During the Summer, Jasmine and her collaborators will travel to Torino, Italy to present their work entitled “Actions Speak Louder Than Words: An Empirical Investigation of the Determinants and Impact of ‘Change Strategies’ in Swedish Savings Bank and US Community Foundations”. This research is a mixed methods case study of the potential disconnect between what foundations say they do and what their grant making indicates, with qualitative perspectives of this disconnect from external stakeholders.
